Charles R. Stackhouse, 87, of Fairfax died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Fairfax Hospital after enduring a long illness of Myasthenia Gravis.

He was born in Moundsville, West Virginia to Lawrence & Josephine Stackhouse. Mr. Stackhouse served in the US Air Force then attended West Liberty College where he obtained his Bachelor's degree. Despite losing his hearing in the Air Force, he graduated in the top 5 of his class with honors by teaching himself to read lips. He was employed during his career as an Accountant.

Mr. Stackhouse is survived by his children: Carol Polkinghorne, Jeff Stackhouse, Cheryl Fisher and son-in-law James Fisher. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kevin & Tyler Polkinghorne, Ashley & Darren Fisher as well as his great grandchildren: Jaylin, Benjamin and Avery Fisher and Audrey Cardoza.

Honoring Mr. Stackhouse's wishes, there will be no services. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation:
