The staff has taken care of several family members for me — always with the utmost respect and care. You can trust them to care for your loved one as they would their own.
At Funeral Choices, we provide experiences that celebrate life. We know that
togetherness and having a shared, uplifting service experience with family, friends,
and neighbors help healing begin.
That’s a question we help answer every day. You might be surprised to learn that you are in control of costs more than we are. At Funeral Choices we want every family to make informed decisions, so we are committed to providing you with accurate pricing. How much a funeral costs depends on personal choices you make. Understanding your choices is how to save money and get the best value.
Many funeral service providers advertise and quote incomplete low prices and then disclose the full cost later. Funeral Choices does not. Our helpful and friendly staff are here to discuss your questions and concerns regarding pricing. Every service provider is required to have and provide a general price list. It is exactly what it sounds like. General. It is an itemized list of every fee a funeral home has.
Providers that quote prices without explaining them, or all inclusive packages may not be giving you an accurate description of cost. Prices with no explanation of what is included, may not include everything you want or need. All inclusive packages may include items and services you do not want or need.
Funeral pricing and value per dollar spent is defined by you, not by a funeral home. To get the best pricing and the best value, it is important to understand your choices. This is why working with a professional who will help you understand where you can control what a funeral or cremation costs. The price you pay, and your personal satisfaction with it is driven by four distinct factors. Three of these factors are truly in your control.
This is related to everything we do for each family when a death occurs, whether a direct cremation or a traditional funeral.
This is controlled by you. Caskets and urns come in a wide range of styles and prices. There are other items like register books, thank you cards, additional vehicles, special facility use and more. Embalming may or may not be needed depending on the circumstances. Everyone has different preferences and yours determine these costs.
These are usually referred to as “cash advance” items. That is because we will pay these individually for you so you have only one simplified bill. These costs are not ours and are determined by what these entities charge and your preferences. Examples would include newspaper obituaries, flowers, honorariums for pastors, & death certificates.
How fair the price of a funeral feels to you is determined by you. Here is what to consider. Funeral service is an experience, not a commodity. Who you choose to guide you will define the experience you receive. We are extremely helpful and experienced. Some other providers are less so. Our facilities offer comfort and care center. Many of your other choices cannot say the same.
Other considerations:
Does the provider offer prices in writing?
Is the funeral home familiar with your faith and cultural traditions?
How does the provider handle special requests?
Does the company operate its own crematory, or do they outsource this process?

Coming from Florida to deal with my brothers death has been a nightmare to say the least. The only thing that has been pleasurable is the staff at Old Town Funeral Choices. The staff at both locations have been more than kind and understanding and helpful every step of the way, going above and beyond to be sure my brother was cared for appropriately until we picked up his remains. Thank you again.
The staff were extremely helpful and very professional, when we contacted Old Town Funeral Choices after my mother's passing. We could not have had a better experience during such a trying time. Thank you very much for your help and attention.
I cannot say enough good things about Ryan A. My uncle died very suddenly and unexpectedly just over 2 weeks ago. He lived alone and my cousin, mother and I traveled from out of state to the DC area to handle his affairs. We were all devastated, unprepared, and pretty out of our element. My cousin was hit especially hard, but was in charge of her dad’s arrangements. Ryan was absolutely wonderful. He showed tremendous compassion and patience while guiding us through what we needed to do. He helped make a horrific time much less terrible for my family. I consider myself fortunate that he was there to help us through this traumatic event. I would recommend this place to anyone because of him.
The staff were attentive, informative and helpful. Would recommend!
We got their service for our father's funeral and final process. Tom and Donnia are excellent and so are their other staffs. They truly pay condolence and respect the family left behind. Costs are reasonable also. When you call them, someone will answer promptly and do their best to help you out. Seems like they have a lot of experience in what they do. Thank you Tom and Donnia. I would definitely recommend them
My husband passed away October 2019. They were so respectful and sensitive. Their vehicle left us with lights flashing driving away slowly. We were asked if we wanted extra time before they departed. We were asked about him and his life. At their facility they prepared a viewing for us with soft lights. This was prior to cremation. Filling out paperwork, everything, was done with the utmost respect, wisdom and knowledge. I can’t say enough good things about them.
They cremated my Auntie, and were very pleasant people. I recommend anyone GO HERE! They will treat you right.
