Obituary – Sarah E. “Sally” Monaghan (1937-2023)
Sarah E. “Sally” Monaghan (Wagner) passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023, in Haymarket, Virginia, at the age of 86. Sally was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Thomas Monaghan in 2004 and one grandchild Megan Sarah Slice.
Sally is survived by her four loving children: Pam Slice (Don), Jan Komisarcik (Paul), Susan Flather (Gary), and Steve Monaghan (Nancy). Her legacy extends through her 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 8, at 1 pm, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Chantilly, Virginia, followed by a Celebration of Life at Chantilly National Country Club from 2-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.

My prayers and thoughts are with all the family. Mrs. Monaghan was one of the greats. I have many fond memories of fun times with the Monaghan family at Woolley pool. Those kids were my favorite family to babysit. The one time I ran way from home (a whole 2. Blocks). I when I was 13. I went straight to Mrs. Monaghan!!! Rest in Peace, Sally!,🙏
