Russell David Devoe

Russell D. Devoe was born October 8th, 1937 in Jamestown, Ohio. He went home to heaven on September 3rd, 2019 to join his wife Leonor Florez Devoe.  He is predeceased by his parents William Devoe and Rose Charles and brother Paul Devoe of Ohio.  He is survived by his sons Brian M. Devoe and Harold S. Devoe, daughter in law Shari L. Devoe,, grandkids Logan S.Robins and Evan M. Devoe, sister Connie Dolan, nephew Pat Jr. Dolan and niece Karen S. Lutz.

Russell graduated from Greenview High School in Jamestown, Ohio and attended Junior College for 2 years.  He then entered the military and served in the Air Force for 23 years and 1 tour in Vietnam.  He served his country proudly and loved telling stories about his experiences.  After retiring from the Air Force, he went on to work for the Department of State for 19 years.  He was an avid reader, reading the Washington Post daily, loved history and loved watching baseball, basketball and football.  His favorite teams were Ohio State and Cleveland Indians.  He loved and enjoyed living with his family and going to all of his grandkids' sporting events.
