Paula Robbins Mathis

Paula passed away April 24, 2018, in Arlington, VA. She grew up in both New York and California. After moving to the DC area she spent her time protesting for social causes, supporting the Alexandria Democratic Committee and raising her children. She held various admin positions and did catering in later years. Paula is survived by two children, Karen and Michael Baer; sisters, Martha Levy, Laura Robbins, Barbara Kane; grandchildren, Rebecca & Matthew Stier, Nathan, Margaret, Gordon and John Baer, cousins Ellen Dworkin & Marvin Aronow and her devoted companion, Frank Carey. A service will be held at Mt. Vernon Unitarian Church May 6, 2018 at 3:00 pm. The family requests any donations be made to Culpepper Gardens or Capital Caring Hospice.
