Paul Daniel Mackey

Paul Daniel Mackey was born on February 18, 1951 in Stamford, Connecticut. The only child of Daniel and Kathleen Mackey, he spent his childhood in New England before moving to Kensington, Maryland in grade school. 

He attended Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland, and graduated in 1969. In high school, Paul played Varsity Football, Varsity Baseball, and enjoyed photography. Following high school, he attended Holy Cross University and received a Bachelor of Art. After graduating from George Mason University Law School, Paul passed the bar in 1979 and went on to practice criminal and civil law from 1978-2013 in Alexandria, VA. He was also an adjunct professor for 15 years. 

Paul had two children, Malachi (38) and Teresa (34). He had two grandchildren, Cooper (3) and Lucia (1). He loved to sail, play baseball, listen to NPR, and a great cup of coffee. 

Paul lived a wonderful life of travel, sports, and gardening. He had many friends and loved to entertain and tell stories. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 10th at River Bend Bistro in Alexandria, VA from 2-4 pm.
