Paul Andrew Graham

Paul Graham, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, after a brave and arduous battle with heart and liver disease. He was born on April 5, 1949, in Oakland, California, to A. Ray and Pam Graham.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. He is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Belinda, his daughter Carrie Graham, and his sons Wesley Graham and Tyler Graham, along with Tyler’s wife Monica. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers in law Linda Graham and Price Fessenden, Nancy and David Peckinpaugh, and Margaret and Ron Zakoor. Paul leaves behind his precious grandchildren—Heather Graham, Corey Clagg, Mckennah Graham, and Annika Graham—as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Paul grew up in California and attended Galt High School in Galt, California. Immediately after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served with honor in the 101st Airborne Division, the Screaming Eagles. A Vietnam Veteran, Paul demonstrated extraordinary courage in combat. He was awarded two Purple Hearts after being wounded twice, the second time during the fierce Battle of Hamburger Hill. His service decorations also include the Combat Infantryman Metal, The Air Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and many more—a testament to his bravery, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his fellow soldiers.

After returning home, Paul dedicated 25 years of service to CAL Fire, where he earned the respect of colleagues across the state. He was honored as a State Rank and File Representative in 1985 and served as State Muscular Dystrophy Chairman in 1984, reflecting his deep commitment to public service and community support.

Upon retiring from the fire department, Paul embraced a new adventure: owning and operating a sheep ranch in Oregon. At its peak, his ranch was home to thousands of sheep, a remarkable achievement that showcased his work ethic, determination, and love for the land.

Later in life, Paul and his son Tyler moved to Reno, Nevada—where Paul met the love of his life, Belinda. Together, they built a life filled with joy, partnership, and shared passions. Paul and Belinda traveled across the United States, visiting 39 states and working together as camp hosts in some of the nation’s most treasured parks. Their travels were a source of deep happiness, adventure, and connection.

Paul will be remembered for his courage, his humor, and his love of storytelling. His legacy lives on in his family, in the countless lives he touched through service, and in the stories that will be shared for generations.
