Bill Eshelman was a colleague and friend of mine for decades. He and I shared many hours discussing our faith: he as a Catholic and I as an Orthodox Jew. Both of us had rediscovered our faith in our adult years. Bill introduced me to his extraordinary friends and guides some of them here in Israel. His passing leaves a great void in my life and in the lives of his family and friends. May God rest his soul and, as we say in the Jewish tradition, may his memory be a blessing for all who knew and loved him.
