Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. As a friend of Julie’s, I met Col. Bubon only a few times. What I knew of him is mostly through Julie’s obvious love and respect. I am deeply saddened by your loss.

  2. I feel honored to have known you and your wonderful family for over 30 years. You will truly be missed as there can be no doubt that you made a real difference in this world and we are all the better for having you in it. All our love and prayers. The Rileys

  3. So sorry to hear of Jack’s death. When I told Mary, she said that he and her Dad were already having a great time discussing old times!

  4. Our prayers and condolences are offered for your father, brother and husband. Margaret lives next door to us and is married to my brother. They make a wonderful couple! I see the Bubon resemblence from Jack’s photo. May Jack rest in peace and your memories be thousand fold, full of love, peace and humor too! 🙂 With Aloha, Laurie and Chelsea.

  5. So sorry to hear about Jack. I know dad and mom enjoyed each time they heard from Jack or were able to see him when they ventured back to the Midwest. I was in the DC area for the Inauguration in January and attempted to locate and call using Google search, to no avail. Sending our love and memories to you–Dan,Linda,C.J. –and my sister Amy

  6. As neighbors for fourteen years, I will always remember Jack woking hard and enjoying maintaining a pristine yard and a garden full of delicious vegetables that he shared generously. Jack was a fine gentleman and wonderful husband and father. My thoughts and prayers go out to Connie and her family. Jack will be missed by many. Roberta McGregor

  7. Jack took a chance on a young engineer by offering him his first job out of college. That simple act 27 years ago changed my life. I now have an amazing wife and wonderful family. I will be forever grateful and am honored to call him a mentor and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

  8. I am greatly saddened to hear of Jack’s passing. We have known each other since attending the ASA Career Course at Ft. Devens Mass., in the ’60’s. Since then, our careers have crossed often over the years, most recently, as members of the ASA Alumni Association. The membership, all, join in sharing their sadness at your loss at his passing.

  9. I met Mr. Bubon twice through his lovely daughter – my dear friend Julie. On one occasion, he stopped by the townhouse where I was house-sitting for Julie’s fiancé – now husband, J. I was watching the movie "Eight Men Out" and Mr. Bubon asked me what I was watching. I told him the name and the story line. At the time I thought he asked because I had the sound cranked up pretty loud. I learned from Julie a few weeks later that Mr. Bubon rented that movie and enjoyed it. This news made me feel pretty good knowing we shared an interest in nostalgic baseball films and in the White Sox’s. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I’m sorry for your loss; hold on to the memories. May the peace of God be with you now and always.

  10. Dear Connie, I am really sad about Jack. I have very fond memories of him. Our family had a fruit stand around the corner from where Jack lived, with his father and sisters, back in 1949. We shared a lot of "growing up dreams" about life,as it was for us then and what the future would hold. I remember the day he told me about this "nice girl" He met at Argo High. He said "you know Ang, I think she likes me because she bought me this milk shake today". I think he knew at that time you were to be very special person. I did not realize then that you would be that special! Our sympathy and love to you and your family. Ang & Janet Nickolaou

  11. In a very short time, Jack became a very dear, respected friend. He will be greatly missed as a very wise, thoughtful and humorous friend. Our deepest sympathy to his wonderful wife, Connie and to all his family.

  12. Connie: So sorry to hear of your loss of Jack. I had him in at least one class at Argo and he was sharp. I seen the Obituary in the Plant Argo Publication. Last time I seen both of you was at the 1991 Class Reunion at the VFW and you both looked real happy. From what I read, Jack was a great guy, father and veteran as well. You should be very proud of him. Sorry for the late entry but wanted to do it. Hope your family and you have a nice Holiday as well.
