jackie solbach

July 20, 1960 ~ April 4, 2019

Jackie Sue (Fowler) Solbach, 58, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 4th 2019 while at home with her husband, sons, and sister by her side. After a courageous 18 year battle with cancer she is now free of pain.

Born in Tripoli, Libya, on July 20, 1960; she is the daughter of Sam & Jacqulyn Fowler. Jackie graduated high school from Satellite Beach, FL and later earned a Bachelor's degree in Individualized Study from George Mason University. Jackie had an incredible work ethic and a successful career serving in the federal government. But it was motherhood and being a grandmother (Nonna to her grandkids) that Jackie was most proud of. She loved fiercely and truly knew no limits to show that love. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by the lives of those she left behind,

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Samuel J. Fowler. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Joe; sons, Joseph (Hannah) and Michael (Ashley) Solbach; mom, Jacqulyn Fowler; brother, Sam; sisters, Pam (Tom) Eckert and Ann (Mark) Riceman; grandchildren, Selene, Clara, Alice, Katrina, Hudson, and Halle.

Designated memorials - Hospice (any local) or Fairfax West Infusion Center, (Dr. Heyer).

  1. I was sorry for the family to hear this and my heart goes out to Joe , Joe Jr and his family and Michael and his family. Jackie was a dear fellow mom and sweet neighbor for many years and I know that she will be so very missed by all those who knew and loved her !

  2. My heartfelt condolences to Jackie’s family. Jackie and I were colleagues many years ago; her friendliness, her work ethic and service to our country will not be forgotten.

  3. Joe, I am very sorry for your loss. My family and I wish you and your loved one’s comfort during this very difficult time.

  4. To Jackie’s Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Jackie’s passing today. We worked in the same area many years ago, and it was always a pleasure when our paths crossed over the subsequent years. She was very special and always a professional. I hope your memories of times together will carry you through the coming days. I’ll always remember her beautiful smile.

  5. My deepest sympathy. I knew Jackie for years. We worked together, we carpooled together, took classes together. We lost touch and regained touch when she came by to audit us. I always admired her strength, her smarts, her love of family and love of life. She was a wonderful lady she will be missed. My prayers are with all of you.
