Harvey "Junior" T. Powers Jr.

Harvey “Junior” T. Powers, Jr, 58, of Sterling, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. His final days were spent surrounded by family and love.

Junior was born on April 14, 1965 to the late Verna (Fogle) Wright and Harvey T. Powers, Sr in Fairfax, VA.

Junior was a person who spread love and joy wherever he went. He lived a life full of love, adventure and at times, testing his own limits.

He had a love of motorcycles, Harley Davidson specifically; fishing, camping, and best of all, staying in and watching a good scary movie.

His sense of humor had us all cracking up, even during the hardest of times. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory, is the love of his life, Susan Babick and her son Joey (Sheryl) Babick and grandchildren; his three sisters, Angie (Joe) Powers-Reid, Pamela (Mark) Funkhouser, and Tammy Whitt; his brother, Billy Whitt; his nieces Tiffanie (Phillip) Harpring, Hayley (Sikander) Jan, Angel Castell, Ashley Castell and Jessica Newberger; his nephews Matthew (Kaitlin) Newberger and Kenneth Garland; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents and great-nephew, Xander Jan.

At this time, there will be no service. A get-together will be planned at a later date to celebrate his life well lived.
