Gary David Quinn
January 15, 1962 ~ August 29, 2023
Gary David Quinn (61) peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023. He bravely fought a tough battle against Stage IV colon cancer for nearly four years. Despite the circumstances, he never complained or gave up hope.
Gary graduated from the University of Maryland (1986), where he was president of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Tau, and worked part-time as an EMT. For the last thirty years, he worked in the medical sales industry, with his most recent role being Director of Sales Excellence with Ferris Manufacturing Corp. He enjoyed flying RC planes, riding his motorcycles, crabbing and boating on the Eastern Shore, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paula, his daughter, Kelsey, his son, Colin, his favorite pup, Jetdog, and his younger brother, Robert.
There will be a FUN-eral (celebration of life) on September 30th at 10am at Centreville United Methodist Church, 6400 Old Centreville Rd, Centreville, VA 22304, with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. Please contact Paula Quinn at 703-401-2532 or bubaroo7@aol.com for more details.
In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to the Gary Quinn Community Fund with the Northern Virginia Radio Control club.

Hello Paula-
So sorry to hear of cousin Gary’s passing…
he was a kind soul and though we’ve not seen each other in many years, was part of the extended Lieberman family. His mom, may she rest in peace was my aunt. Perhaps she and Gary are now together in a better, kinder space.
Rest in peace cousin.
Gary… I still remember how intimidated I was, “fresh from the Brazilian boat” with not many English words in my vocabulary when I started working for you and Paula as Kelsey’s nanny. It was the most blessed day of my life. You and Paula never treated me as a “helper”, but as a member of your family. I will always remember you as a loving husband, doting father, and a kind, happy and a funny human-being who loved my “Brazilian” green bean casserole. Bless your heart for that! Heaven is a happier and festive place because you are there. I hope to see you again whenever God calls me home. To dears Paula, Kelsey and Colin… may the many and beautiful memories with Gary comfort your hearts in the moments of sorrow. My prayers and thoughts are with you as the rest of the family. Love you all.
Dear Paula, Kelsey and Colin,
I have known your hubby/dad almost from the day he was born. He was always smiling, laughing, joking, playing pranks and always so full of joy and good cheer. I remember him when he was about 1 and 1/2 years old. He had platinum blond hair and big blue eyes; he was adorable. I was babysitting him at my house when my parents and his went out. He wanted to play with the tire on my Dad’s stationary bike and I let him. Next thing I knew, he had managed to chop off the top of his finger! Fortunately, the doctor was able to reattach it. Gary was the ringbearer at my wedding, along with his brother Robert. When my first grandchild, Soren, was born, Gary said he had a surprise for Jess( my daughter and Soren’s Mom). Shortly thereafter, a big box labeled “bibs” was delivered to Jess’s house. When she opened the box, it was filled with giant bibs that would have fit a man 6 feet tall. She tried one on (it came all the way down to her feet) and we screamed with laughter until we had tears pouring down our faces. Gary was the one person I could always count on to show up for important family events no matter what the weather or the distance: he was there for my son, Alex’s bar mitzvah despite an ice storm the night before and for my daughter Jess’s wedding even though he was on an incredibly tight schedule. He was such a wonderful, joyful, unique individual, that it’s hard for me to imagine a world without him. Lots of love from the Colin-Greene/Greene family
I am so sorry for your loss. Gary was such a wonderful and positive person. I had the pleasure of working with him at Ferris Mfg. Corp. He will be missed.
What can I say, we all know life is about how you live it and my buddy knew how to live it.
Never unhappy mad or down, always positive and pleasant. The life of a gathering and a giver he was. It was a joy to have you in my life.
I will truly miss my friend. But I will always remember him.
Paula, you were there for me for years I hope I can repay the favor someday.
Love you both. Michael
