Francis Wayne Peer

Francis Wayne Peer died in his home in Aldie, VA on February 4^th 2024 at the age of 71. He was the son of Ardana and Floyd Peer.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Theresa Peer; his four children, Ann Marie (Ivan “Chris”) Miller, Cynthia “Cindy” Peer, Kimberly (Nathaniel) Monell, Kevin Peer; his three grandchildren, Nicole Hagan, Benjamin Hagan, Emily Eckstein; his brother, Paul Peer; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ardana “Dana” Peer, Floyd Peer; and his four brothers, Robert Peer, Kyle “Gene” Peer, Mark Peer, and Melvin “Abe” Yocum.

He was born March 23, 1952 and grew up in Annandale VA, where he graduated from Annandale High School. He loved cars; drag racing and tinkering on his Chevy Nova throughout his younger years. He carried that passion on into adulthood and would gladly help fix a car, especially if he got to purchase a new tool because of it. He served in the US Army from 1972-1974 and was a self-taught computer programmer. Utilizing those skills he maneuvered his way through various telephone companies during and following the Bell Systems break up.

The viewing will be February 12^th at noon with the service immediately following and will be held at the Cranford United Methodist Church 9912 Old Colchester Road, Lorton, VA 22079.
