On January 9, 2015 in Fairfax, VA of complications of diabetes. Husband of Joan Miers, who preceded him in death in 2008. Father of Linda Fauteux of Herndon, VA, and Jefferson Miers of Fairfax, VA. He is also preceded in death by his daughter Jessica(1998) and his son Davis(2003). He is also survived by his brother James.
Donovan was the son of Mable Bruin Miers and James H. Miers, a former minister of 4th Presbyterian Church in Betheseda, MD.
He was a long time resident of Falls Church, VA and more recently of Sumter, SC
