Belen Vejerano Talento, 85, of District Heights, Maryland, after a valiant battle with chronic kidney disease, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1938, the first daughter of the late Juan and Maria Vejerano.
A proud native of the Philippines, known as βNanayβ by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and those who she held dear, she was undoubtedly the most self-less, caring, nurturing matriarch who gave her love to everyone unconditionally. She was an amazing cook whose love language was feeding those she loved. Very seldom was there a family gathering that did not include her famous pancit and lumpia. Aside from nourishing her friends and family, her greatest love and source of pure happiness was her family.
For 66 years, Belen was a devoted and loving wife to her surviving husband, Ricardo D. Talento. She is also survived by her children: Leticia (Jay) Perrone, Virginia (Rick) Keim, Patricia (John) Campbell, and Ricardo (Elizabeth) Talento; grandchildren: Valerie Belen (Jon) Crozier, Richard Angelo (Kristine) Perrone, Patrick Anthony (Jess) Strietz, Ryan Joseph (Lauren) Talento, Rachael Nichole Talento, Emily Belen (Jacob) Murillo, Zachary Evan Talento; and great-grandchildren: Ava Belen Crozier, Jackson Benjamin Crozier, Lia Ann Perrone, and Chloe Belen Perrone.
A private family Celebration of Life was held on Monday, February 26, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Belen Vejerano Talento.
Our hearts are with the entire Talento family. We know she will be missed.
We all have those beautiful memories of Auntie Belen we lost hidden within us.
You will never be truly forgotten. You did so much for everyone who knew her and that incredible presence and generosity will be missed.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you rest in peace Auntie Belen.ππππ₯²π₯²π₯².
