allan billings

April 2, 1945 ~ April 22, 2024

Born in: Brooklyn, NY
Resided in: Fairfax, VA

Allan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, now known as NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He worked as a test engineer for the Apollo Project’s Lunar Module Program, participating successfully in the national effort to land American astronauts on the moon and return them safely to earth. His family has added his name to the Wall of Honor at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center’s Air and Space Museum in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Allan was the most loving man, raising his daughter as a single father and devoting his life to his family. He is survived by his daughter, Adele, his 4 siblings Neil, June, Marilyn, and Jon, his nieces and nephews, and his relatives abroad in Europe. We love him to the moon and back.

Private burial service for family only on Monday, May 6th at 10:00 AM in Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032.  Section 5, in the Garden of Reflections.
