Major Terry Lee Kee, United States Air Force (Retired), passed away on the morning of August 7, 2025, at his home in Flower Mound, Texas, with his devoted wife Patricia by his side. He was 67 years old. A dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Veteran, Terry lived a life marked by deep commitment, personal strength, and unwavering service to his country and family.
Terry was born on January 2, 1958, in Columbia, South Carolina. In 1981, he began his distinguished career in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Major in 2002 after 21 years of active-duty service, and continued to serve as a senior government contractor for an additional 23 years. In total, Major Kee served the United States faithfully for 44 years, supporting some of the nation’s most critical defense efforts.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Diana Kee, and their three daughters: L. Kirstina Colvin and her husband Jeremy, Ashley Avila and her husband Fernando, and Melissa Frost. He was the proud Pops of Charlotte Colvin, Grayson Colvin, Eloise Colvin, Meribel Avila, Samuel Avila, Benjamin Avila, and Dominic Reed.
He is also survived by his beloved siblings: his older sister Helen Larrick, his older brother Andy Brown, and his twin brother Gerry Kee. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lee Kee, and his mother, Marjorie Kee.
Terry will be remembered for his calm presence, unshakable integrity, and steadfast devotion to duty. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the freedoms he helped protect, and the values he passed down through generations.
Terry will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
