So.  You departed this earth, and left behind so many loved ones with broken hearts.  Although your were my brother-inlaw, but indeed I always considered you as a kind and reliable friend.  Dictionaries are full of adjectives, synonyms, and so forth … and in fact, I tried very hard to find a right word to describe your character.  Then I remembered a simple math equation, which says: the closeth distance from point A to point B is a straight line.  Thus, I decided to describe your charcter by simply saying you were a GREAT GENTLEMAN.  Indeed you did over ride your Earthly accomplishments via your heavenly behavior.   Of course, I am saddened by your departure.  But.  I know you are in a much better place, with your soul being blessed by GOD.
