  19. Opal Mixon was my "in-laws" next door neighbor for many years in Alice, Texas. I was only 17, when I started dating my now-husband. This was when I met Opal, my future mother-in-law introduced us. She was a really nice lady and a lot of fun. Years later she moved to Corpus Christi and lived in a neighborhood near us. We would both attend the Saint Theresa’s Church’s Halloween Spookfest. She would often dress up as different characters…she was always a "hoot". Everyone at St. T’s loved her. She would always help out there. I really missed her when she moved away. I haven’t seen her in years bur I know she is visiting with all her family and friends in heaven and the Lord made a special place there for her. May she rest in peace!!

  20. I’M SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR MOTHERS DEATH,IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO HEAR THAT SHE WAS NOT IN PAIN AND HAD SOME OF HER CHILDREN AT HER SIDE WHEN SHE PASSED ON HER WAY TO HEAVEN.

  21. Mike & Marianne, We are saddened to hear of your recent loss and would like to express our sincere condolences to you and your family.

  22. Mike and Marianne, My most fond memories of Opal were the Holy Hours when she would attend with K of C and pass out the Hand made rosaries. I suspect I still have one put away with specials. We all loved her and will pray always. Divine Mercy be with her… No regrets.. she is with Our Lord and Mary. Love to all… Helen.

  23. Michael and Mary Ann, So sorry to learn of your loss. Judi and I have suffered losses of loved ones over the past two years, so know all too well what you are going through. Our prayers and best wishes are with you. God Bless.

  24. To the family of Opal (Peggy ) Mixon, My heart was broken when I heard the news of our long time friend. I will never forget her crafty hands, and her calm and patient personality she had. She was a loving mother and a soldier to all. Being strong with keeping the schedule for Dudley and Charles with all the older siblings helping was a big chore. Growing up next to her as a child I learned alot and as I matured into a young lady she helped mold me as well. Her faith in God was pure as well as her dedication to the church and others .Michael, Doris and Patricia and all the others that were in her life, believe that her suffering is over and rejoice for her reunion with Dudley and Charles and her friends that have passed and someday we will all join her on those beautiful streets of gold. Rest in peace my friend and to God Be The Glory . Love and Sympathy, Pamela and Roy Brown
