Christopher Triplett

christopher triplett

Christopher "Chris" Triplett, 55, of Bunker Hill, WV, went to be with our Lord on September 4, 2020.

Born on December 23, 1964, Chris grew up in Falls Church, VA.  He attended Westlawn, J.G. Whittier and Falls Church High before moving to Centreville, VA and graduating from Centreville H.S.

Chris spent most of his adult life as a long-distance truck driver and traveled all over the country.  He really loved his last job transporting classic, rare and expensive vehicles, often posting pictures on his FaceBook page.

Chris loved classic, restored vehicles, fishing, camping and the beach.  He was an avid Steelers fan.  Nothing mattered more to him than spending time with family and friends.

Christian, soft-spoken, quiet, loving, caring, generous and sincere, Chris made friends easily, was loved by those who knew him and never missed an opportunity to help whenever needed.  Chris was especially fond of children and animals and did all he could to help them.  He gave all he had to others even in death as an organ donor.

Chris is preceeded in death by his mother, Josephine "Jo" Triplett, his dad, Nelson E. Triplett, an infant brother, John Triplett, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Chris is survived by his older brother and sister, Nelson "Joey" Triplett of Monrovia, CA, and Susan "Susie" McGowan of Manassas, VA, and a younger sister, Patricia Keener.  He is also survived by his two loving daughters Christine Townsend of Bristow, VA  and Jennifer Triplett of Manassas, VA, three grandchildren, Kasey, Paul and Logan.  Chris also leaves behind three uncles, Gabriel Cavazos, Charles Triplett and Eddie Coleman, his lifelong friends Dave and Becky Bradford and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

While Chris' soul is already in heaven, his earthly remains will be cremated.  Memorial services to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of choice.  The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness, prayers, and generous gifts.

Guestbook

  1. Chris was a wonderful brother, I loved him unconditionally and was very proud of him. His life was not an easy one and he had more of his share of disappointments, heartaches and bad luck but, he always made the best of every situation. He deeply cared about others and did what he could for them. Chris was such a kind and loving person, he especially had a big heart when it came to children and animals. He couldn’t say no to either. He was a special person who had many lifelong friends that he stayed in touch with throughout the years. He had empathy for those around him and when he would say “I’m sorry” you knew it came from his heart. I’m thankful that God took him quickly so that he didn’t suffer. I’m thankful to have had him as my brother. I am heartbroken over him leaving us so soon and so unexpectedly. I miss him so much already and look forward to being reunited one day. You rest In peace and comfort now, little brother. You are safe in heaven with Jesus and we will see you again. I love you always.

  2. May you be in the peace and light of heaven. This candle, like the real one I lit for you, will continually carry my prayers for you to God. I love you and I miss you.

  3. My condolences to your family Chris…I only saw you once but you talked to me like you knew me your whole life…such a sweet and kind person…the world was a better place when you were a part of it…RIP

  4. Chris is Cousin (Cuz) you going to sadly miss you. Had BIG HEART  Iam going to miss (I love you cuz !! ) you made sure you say it very time we see each other or talk  we laugh  and cry together  so for now love ya Cuz until  we meet again  ❤ Rest in Peace

  5. Condolences and Prayers to family and friends on the loss of Chris.

I met Chris in Big Jim Hall’s Auto Shop class at Chantilly High School. We hit it off right away because we were the two class clowns and made each other laugh (Chris made me laugh first though). We had the same mellow temperament and sense of humor (eg Richard Pryor); and even liked the same music (eg Hank Williams Jr, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin). We had so many fun times together. Chris was my best friend in my late teens and early 20’s. Those were carefree days. We spent them together hanging out, going on double dates, and cruising in my Camaro before we had to become adults; I left for the Marines and Chris to begin his family. I loved him like a brother and always will. I am fortunate that Chris shared some of his life with me.

Thank you Chris for all the great times that we had together. I will remember you for the rest of my life.

    Rest in Peace my Friend.

  6. Remeber the crossroads, the highway, the tracks, a single light post, the giant window of our prison to the stars.
