Joan T. Jones, age 89 of Alexandria, VA, peacefully departed this life on April 7, 2026.
Joan brought immense joy, stability, and companionship to our family when she married Ronald A. Jones in 1979. She was a steady anchor, a wonderful friend to her stepchildren, Elsa, Erik, and Wesley, and a doting grandmother to Greta, Ronald, Sam, and Chelsea. Generous of heart, time, and service to her community, Joan volunteered for charities, adopted needy animals, and tackled every task with an unrivaled tenaciousness.
She will be greatly missed by the family and friends who loved her.
A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, September 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
