I last saw Cliff at the AWP Conference in Seattle in 2023. He graciously volunteered to play music for our reading. I miss his warm personality and his smile. He was a good poet and musician.
He contacted me when he got his diagnosis and thanked me for help with his writing career. I was dumbfounded and thought: this can’t be. I miss him.
